After a jam-packed week, the boys were looking forward to racing again. This time the Richard Jay Invitational in Hammond was the location and with up to 25 other schools represented. The boys team performed well, recording a 3rd place finish only 6 points away from 2nd.

The boys team was lead by Senior Steven Franczek who led the race early on but ultimately placed 3rd (17:02). He was followed by fellow Senior Hudson Hall who placed 12th (17:42), with the sophomore duo of Steven and Zach Jarvis coming in 26th (18:22) and 30th (18:29) respectively. Senior Liam Hostetler rounded up the team score shortly thereafter in 32nd place (18:43).

“The team had a tough training week, all in all I’m liking the possibilities with these guys,” Coach Luis Guillen. “Bobby and Evan showed their toughness and grit today, a few boys pr’d and so we’re continually building.”

The boys team is back in action next Saturday in West Lafayette for the Harrison Invitational.
